BIOGRAPHY

Born in 1999 in Netherlands, Tom De Beuckelaer started playing Piano under his mother's influence at the age of 4. Later on his family moved to Belgium, where he continued his piano study with Jean-Paul Vanden Driessche at the Academy of Music in Mortsel. At the age of 12, he applied to become a student of Heidi Hendrickx at the Ma'Go Music Academy in Antwerp. After finishing highschool he applied and got accepted by the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp and became the student of Nikolaas Kende and Levente Kende. He now is participating in many International and National Piano Competitions and giving concerts all around Europe and Asia.

2013: First Prize in the 5th ''Steinway Piano Competition for Youth'', graded Greatest distinction. (Belgium)

2013: First Prize in the 21st ''International Frederick Chopin Piano Competition for Children and Youth''. (Poland)

2013: Recipient of the First Prize of the Gyorgy French's Foundation for best performance of Chopin's Mazurkas, including an invitation to Hungary (Prize awarded at the 21st International Frederick Chopin Piano Competition for Children and Youth, Poland).

2013: Recipient of the Pablo Sarasota Conservatory in Pamplona (Spain) Prize.

2013: First Prize in the 9th International Chopin's Golden-ring Piano Competition with the score of 97.5/100. (Slovenia)

PERFORMANCES

As from the age of six (that is, from 2005 onwards) he performed on stage in about 20 local concerts organized by his Belgian teacher, Jean-Paul Vanden Driessche. He also played many times in local concerts organized by his current teacher, Heidi Hendrickx.

In 2011, he performed two times in (Belgium) Laureaten Recitals of the "Steinway Piano Competition for youth" (Belgium).

In 2013, he performed Mozart piano concerto K466 with the symphonic orchestra from Ukkel on 9th March (Belgium)

In 2103, he performed a solo recital (an hour) at Mortsel Academy of Music (Belgium).

In 2103, he performed a solo recital at North-London Festival of Music and Drama (United Kingdom).

In 2013, he performed a solo recital at International Music Festival in Pamplona (Spain).
